My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The room wasn't attended to daily as in a regular hotel, which I found acceptable for a pub, but some basic services like making the bed and restocking coffee were missed. However, cleanliness was a concern, and the mix of three types of wallpaper made it feel a bit outdated. The service was a bit lacking on the morning of my departure, but the staff overall were lovely, helpful, and friendly, truly a credit to the hotel. The location was perfect for visiting Malmesbury, despite the early morning delivery lorry noise. The barn-style setting added a unique charm, but the early closing hours were a downside.
